If the early holiday shopping period is any indication, many retailers aren’t feeling the Christmas spirit. Best Buy said on its earnings call Tuesday that consumers are “deal focused,” noting that it saw lower demand between sales events. Target, which reported last week, said there was a more pronounced sales dip than usual the week before and the week after its sale event known as Target Circle Week.
