President-elect Donald Trump nominated Jared Isaacman, a tech entrepreneur with close ties to SpaceX, to serve as NASA’s next leader. Trump cited Isaacman’s passion for space and experience as a private astronaut as among the reasons to choose him for the role. Isaacman currently is chief executive of payments-technology company Shift4 Payments and hasn’t served in government before, according to a biography.
