Why you need more value stocks in your portfolio
T. Rowe Price head of global multi-asset and chief investment officer Sébastien Page joins Julie Hyman on Market Domination Overtime to discuss why he favors value stocks. Page notes that while tariffs are a "risk" to markets, you have to take the market's reaction to news "with a grain of salt" because it tends to "move pretty fast." With current market dynamics, he notes that value stocks are "behaving defensively." He notes that, in the last 17 times over the past 200 trading days when the S&P was under pressure, value stocks outperformed growth stocks during the volatility each time. He adds that tariffs "don't really worry" him regarding value stock trading. Page says that while he still owns growth stocks, he would "rather have it tilt towards value" over the next 6 to 12 months.
